The Penjana Initiative

ABOUT 

The Penjana Nasional Fund is a RM1.2 billion investment fund established by the Malaysian Government to drive the country’s economic recovery and support the local private capital industry. Designed as public-private collaboration, the Malaysian Government will match commitments from 3rd party domestic and international investors. 

BCP Asia Partners, a joint venture between Bintang Capital Partners and CMIA Capital Partners of Singapore, was selected as a Fund Manager for the Growth category of the Penjana Nasional Fund in December 2020.

BCP ASIA FUND I

BCP Asia Fund I is a growth-oriented private equity fund. The fund invests in high-impact Malaysian companies and foreign companies in ASEAN that are able to demonstrate tangible benefits to the Malaysian economy.

 

The investment focus of the fund will be on innovation and sustainability focusing on imperatives around the 4th Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) whilst promoting a more closely integrated regional growth story amongst countries in the greater Asia Region.
