Our inclusion in the list highlights the work our team is doing to harness investments and business as forces for good.
Now in its sixth year, Real Leaders’ annual Top Impact Companies highlights purpose-driven businesses that are thriving whilst doing their bit to build a better world.
This prestigious list comprises of companies from all over the world: ranging from companies that have reimagined old business models to place a greater emphasis on all stakeholders, to those who have built impact into the DNA of their business from day one.
The 2024 Top Impact Companies were ranked by their three-year compound annual growth rate multiplied by their 2022 annual revenues, and out of the 185 awardees, Bintang was ranked 11th within the Impact Investing category and 140th overall on the 2024 list.
Notably Bintang was the only home-grown ASEAN / Malaysian company to be included in this year’s list, serving to further spotlight our regional impact.
With more than 500 applicants / nominees across 15 countries, the awards process is rigorous and evaluates privately-owned companies based on 30 questions across Real Leader’s unique I.M.P.A.C.T criteria:
· I - Intention: What critical problem are we solving?
· M - Model: Where does our impact manifest in our value chain?
· P - People: How does our culture drive impact?
· A - Accountability: How do we measure our impact?
· C - Collaboration: What partnerships amplify our impact?
· T - Transformation: How deeply do we impact the environment, society, and our governance?
To this day, the Bintang team is still in the dark as to who nominated us... but a big thank you nonetheless to our mystery proposer for believing in us - however, if you do decide to own up there's a nice meal by the team waiting for you!
The 2024 list features a diverse range of companies of all sizes across a multitude of industries including healthcare, finance, education, manufacturing, and technology.
More than half of the awardees (54%) were certified B Corps by B Lab and 45 operate in the financial services and impact investing space, which further highlights the growing momentum of responsible and conscious capitalism.
Hence, as a Certified B Corp, Real Leaders’ recognition holds special meaning for our team at Bintang.
